Strangled rack is part of the Future Primitives series which Muller Van Severen presented in 2012 at Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk, Belgium. Different design functionalities are combined and juxtaposed in one object, creating a landscape of romantic minimalistic furniture.
Strangled rack is composed of two intertwined steel frames, combined with colorful polyethylene shelves. The adjustable positioning of the frames allows you to shape the piece according to your space. The piece also functions as a compact desk, thanks to the alternating arrangement of the shelves within one of the frames.
This object is handmade in Belgium and has passed through the hands of many skilled artisans before arriving in our studio. Here it is meticulously finished, inspected, and carefully packed before being shipped to you.

We love polyethylene for its durability, bold standard colours and tactile appeal. More than just practical, it’s a material with character.
